Let the youth shine with reason—a festival of debate around the bill
The Chalanbil Inter-School Debate Competition-2025 was held under the slogan ‘Let reason be the beauty of youth, let reason be the strength of youth’. The two-day competition was organized by Samiron Smriti Ganapathagar and National Debate Federation Bangladesh (NDFB) on July 25 and 26 at the Jindani Degree College Auditorium in Naogaon.

A total of eight schools from the Chalanbil region participated in the debate competition. After a fierce battle of arguments, Handial High School, Chatmohar, Pabna emerged as the champion and Madar Baria High School, Bhangura, Pabna emerged as the runner-up. The best speaker was selected by the team leader of the champion team, Ms. Tasfia Khandaker. Speaking as the chief guest at the event, Professor Sabrina Naz, Chairman of the Department of Botany, Rajshahi University, said that the debate competition is not just a battle of words, it will play a helpful role in developing logic, leadership and democratic values among the new generation.
The moderator of the debate competition was Md. Zahidul Islam, assistant professor of the chemistry department of Ishwardi Government College, Pabna. The main coordinator and president of the event was Khairuzzaman Munnu, patron of Samiron Smriti Ganapathagara.
